Born again can not sin?

It is of course a lot of false doctrines here at FB (and elsewhere), but it is extremely sad when it comes from those who act like and suppose to be pillars in the faith. Even more sad when some of them who call themselves apostles and evangelist and even more we have to be careful because it looks like they have some fruits in their earlier life. It reminds of a prophesy from 1967 about a lot of believers will first start to preach the right stuff and then starts to sneak in the bad stuff. I hope and pray it is not the case in these matters. I hope it is more like a big misunderstanding!

The doctrines I will warn about this time are explained like this:

  1. When we are born again we can not sin any more.
  2. A lot of the teaching of Jesus is only for the Jews.
  3. No need of give or ask forgiveness after being born again.

Yes, pretty bad.

I will not go into Scriptures to much when it comes to where they refer to back up such teaching, but obviously the first on is from 1. letter from John. The second is that many refer to the “beatitudes” and claim that is to the Jews, ONLY – (it was the truth before Jesus died on the cross), and thirdly the last is obviously a result of the first false claim.

There is also a kind of confused teaching if the souls are born again or only the spirit. Obviously it is not the body …. I will not go into that here only make the true claim that the body with its faults and desires are for sure not born again. Again a lot of this it falls on its own improbability.

But there is a story I like to mention from the NT about born again can not sin:

Galatians 2:11-14New Living Translation (NLT) Paul Confronts Peter
11 But when Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him to his face, for what he did was very wrong. 12 When he first arrived, he ate with the Gentile believers, who were not circumcised. But afterward, when some friends of James came, Peter wouldn’t eat with the Gentiles anymore. He was afraid of criticism from these people who insisted on the necessity of circumcision. 13 As a result, other Jewish believers followed Peter’s hypocrisy, and even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy.

14 When I saw that they were not following the truth of the gospel message, I said to Peter in front of all the others, “Since you, a Jew by birth, have discarded the Jewish laws and are living like a Gentile, why are you now trying to make these Gentiles follow the Jewish traditions?

So to say that hypocrisy is not sin or to say that Peter the author of two letters in the NT is not born again will be pretty foolish. To claim that this happened before Jesus died on the cross or to say that Peter didn’t have to repent and because of that ask forgiveness for sin is even more foolish.

As I say; no more verses needed, it falls on its own improbability

To teach that born again people, and who is born again, only Jesus know, is free from this three mention obligations, repent from sin, ask forgiveness and submit to the whole Bible is ridiculous and of extremely dangerous. I don’t care if they claim we are new beings and even can prove they are sin free according to the Scripture (it will be foolish to try to do so). To teach this to one who just came to believe: “You are now born again and you can not sin any more. Therefore you have no need of repentance and forgiveness any more and likewise the “beatitudes” are not for you!”

Let’s say you are free from this, will not the Scripture Himself tell you that to brag like this is sinful! I mean if it is true you can’t brag about it! We are after all nothing in our self.

How can such a doctrine makers survive in front of the Judgement Seat of Christ? He will probably be among those who bang on the door claiming to believe and claim they have the right to be let in. LORD LORD we did miracles in your name …

On top of these things they make sin to sin showing the whole world their haughtiness. They are of course in for a big fall if they don’t repent.

I will end this story with something that we all need to put on our mind and into our hearths:

1 John 3:9-10New Living Translation (NLT)
9 Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life[a] is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God. 10 So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers[b] does not belong to God.

1 John 5:18New Living Translation (NLT)
18 We know that God’s children do not make a practice of sinning, for God’s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them.

It is about time that the church gets their eyes open for the following truth; we can stumble (failure), we can fall (into sin) and we can practise sin (live in it – like “live in” outside marriage, something that’s going on constantly).

Born again will never make a practice of sin. They will never sin with obvious purpose against better knowledge. And if they do they repent when they told (Ref David and Nathan) As long as I have walk with the Lord no one in any congregation or pastor, elder and leader seems to understand this; The different about stumbling and even falling to the practice of living in sin. May be I have been around wrong people and wrong churches? What do you think?

ON top of that they have a problem with this:

1 Timothy 5:24New Living Translation (NLT)
24 Remember, the sins of some people are obvious, leading them to certain judgment. But there are others whose sins will not be revealed until later.

We will not mention a lot of these sins which of course is not easy to be seen like drunkenness and fornication and divorce. But we will mention one, that is enough, because it is the root of all, even the root to the root of all evil, to love money; the HAUGHTINESS.

Fear of the Lord or rather No fear of the Lord

1 Peter 1 New Living Translation (NLT) (used in all) (italic underline and bold added by me)
17 And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favourites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time here as “temporary residents.”

So we have to live our lives in the fear of the Lord ALL the time. It is very clear 100 + places in the Scripture.

Acts 9
31 The church then had peace throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria, and it became stronger as the believers lived in the fear of the Lord. And with the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, it also grew in numbers.

We shall live in fear of hurting Him, in fear of grieving the Holy Spirit. In fear of make Jesus want to spit you out of His mouth. We live in fear of the Lord so we can harvest people for Eternal life. So the Church can be multiplied.

Revelation 3:16
But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!

There is more than John 3:16 as you can see. And we will also remind us concerning

John 3:36 And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.”

But we shall not fear for judgement, we shall fear of the possibility to avoiding obeying Him, the fear to don’t keep His commandment and end up not loving Him. Jesus says seven times in John 14 and 15; those who love me keep my commandments.

Jesus says:
Psalm 34:11 Come, my children, and listen to me, and I will teach you to fear the Lord.

How can we be able to get to this point that we come onto Jesus and learn to fear Him?

We have to repent and believe in the Gospel as the Scripture tells us to do. Set Jesus and your neighbour first in ALL things. No other desires than to please Him. It is very simple, but oh so difficult with a haughty heart.

In defense of former Jesuit Alberto Rivera

When Chick Publications first published the personal testimony of former Jesuit Alberto Rivera, Rome called upon her ecumenical contacts to go on the attack. Rome’s friends attacked the way they always have, by attacking the messenger. Not wanting to publicly discuss the serious charges Alberto lays against his former church, they tried to discredit him personally, hoping people would then not read his message.

The most famous of these personal attacks was an open letter published in Christianity Today, which has been copied and distributed around the world many times since the 1980s. Upon reading this attack, a Christian named James Houston, who had read enough of history to know the truth of Alberto’s charges, came forward. Following is the letter he wrote in defense of Alberto Rivera.

Since the Christianity Today letter is still being distributed to attack Alberto’s God-given message, even going so far as to deny he was ever a priest, we feel it is appropriate to make Houston’s rebuttal available as well. It is vital that Bible-believing Christians understand the true nature of the Roman Catholic Church, so they will understand why they need to reach out in love to Catholics to lead them to saving faith in Jesus Christ.

Dear Sir:

I have read your three page article exposing J.T. Chick’s “Alberto” to be a fraud (see Christianity Today, March 13, 1981). I would like to make the following comments on the same hoping that God in His sovereignty would allow this letter to be printed (in full) in a future issue of Christianity Today:

  1. Considering the evidence set forth in your article, though I find many things stated of which Alberto Rivera may or may not be guilty, I can find no evidence in the article that proves him to be a fraud, unless of course, I’m misunderstanding the word: “fraud.” You do state what Rome herself has to say about Alberto. Who in a right frame of mind (unless they are totally ignorant of history) would give heed to her words in the light of the following evidence:
    1. Her teaching that “the end justifies the means” allows her the freedom to lie, just as long as it propagates her cause.
    2. H.G. Wells, noted historian, in his book, “Crux Ansata,” states:

Page 105 – “Roman Catholicism is a broken and utterly desperate thing, capable only of malignant mischief in our awakening world.”

Page 155 – “I think that it stands for everything most hostile to the mental emancipation and stimulation of mankind. It is the completest, most highly organized system of prejudices and antagonisms in existence. Everywhere in the world there are ignorance and prejudice, but the greatest complex of these, with the most extensive prestige and the most intimate entanglement with traditional institutions, is the Roman Catholic Church. It presents many faces towards the world, but everywhere it is systematic in its fight against freedom.”

    3. Lord Macaulay, in his “Essays on Ranke’s History of the Popes, 1852,” page 548, states:

“It is impossible to deny that the polity of the Church of Rome is the very masterpiece of human wisdom….The experience of 1,200 eventful years, the ingenuity and patient care of forty generations of statesmen, have improved that polity to such perfection, that, among the contrivances which have been devised for deceiving and controlling mankind, it occupies the highest place.”

Again, Macaulay in his “History of England,” (Volume 1, page 47) states:

“the loveliest and most fertile provinces of Europe have under her (Rome’s) rule, been sunk in poverty, in political servitude, and in intellectual torpor.”

    4. Charles Dickens’ “Life,” (by Foster, Volume II, page 274) described Popery as:

“the most horrible means of political and social degradation left in the world.”

    5. Adam Smith (“Wealth of Nations,” Book V, Chapter 1, Part 3, Ant. 3):

“The Church of Rome is the most formidable combination that ever was formed against the authority and security of civil government, as well as against the liberty, reason, and happiness of mankind.”

    6. Gladstone (“Speeches of Pope Pius IX,” page 173):

“When the Pope speaks of the liberation of the Church, he means merely this, that it is to set its foot on the neck of every other power.”

    7. In Dean Stanley’s “Life of Dr. Arnold,” (Volume II, page 411, London, 1844) we read:

“This is the last night, I trust, in which I shall sleep in the Pope’s dominions; for it is impossible not to be sickened with a government such as this, which discharges no one function decently. The ignorance of the people is prodigious (enormous): how can it be otherwise?”

    8. Father Chiniquy in his book, “Fifty Years in the Church of Rome,” factuates the Vatican being responsible for the death of that dear man, Abraham Lincoln. He states on Page 512:

“I come fearlessly today before the American people to say and prove that the President, Abraham Lincoln, was assassinated by the priests and Jesuits of Rome.”

And if you have read this book, then you have noted that the Vatican also maligned the reputation of Chiniquy for his revealing the evil of Rome. This book was very popular when I first got converted (1957). Today, you probably could not purchase this book in most Christian book stores, due mainly to the influence of the Charismatic Movement, which has been raised up by Satan to lure true Christians into the judgement of idolatrous Rome, though God’s Word forbids His people to have fellowship with these wafer-god idolaters (See II Corinthians 6:14-18). It seems rather strange that many Roman Catholics are coming out of Rome, and at the same time, many born-again Christians are going into Rome. You would think that the testimonies of so many former Roman Catholics would be a sufficient warning to these poor deluded souls, but alas,Satan still posing as an angel of light, captivated the hearts and minds of many. Of course, at the root of this apostasy is “sinful pleasure,” for the Charismatic Movement allows its followers to do their “own thing,” with the word, “repentance,” being almost (if not totally) absent from their vocabulary. And though these reprobates have been “bought with a price,” they now “deny the Lord that bought them,” for they have “chosen the way of Cain.” May God use this message to turn some of these souls back into the way before they come to experience just what Paul meant when he said: “That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (II Thessalonians 2:12)

    9. D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones (author of the well-recognized commentary on Romans, published by Zondervan) in his sermon preached in Westminster Chapel on January 29, 1961 and printed in The Westminster Record, May, 1963, states:

“This system (Romanism) is altogether more dangerous than is Communism itself, because this is a counterfeit, this does it in the name of Christ. This is ‘the scarlet woman,’ this is the most horrible, foul deception of all, because it uses His name.”

“Let me warn you very solemnly that if you rejoice in these approaches to Rome you are denying the blood of the martyrs.”

“There is no difficulty about this; this is a counterfeit, a sham; this is prostitution of the worst and most diabolical kind. It is indeed a form of the antichrist, and it is to be rejected, it is to be denounced; but above all, it is to be countered.”

    10. A. B. Simpson, (founder of the “Christian and Missionary Alliance,” with headquarters at Nyack, N.Y.) states very clearly in his book, “The Fourfold Gospel,” page 84, the following:

“The predicted ‘falling away,’ has long ago begun, and the man of sin has set in God’s temple already the full time of the prophetic cycle, and the process has begun which is to ‘consume and destroy unto the end.’ The Papacy has fulfilled almost all the lineaments of its marvelous portrait.”

Again, in “The Christian and Missionary Alliance” magazine, editorial page, August 1, 1903, we read:

“The death of the Pope after a protracted illness and a prolonged career of successful administration of the great religious body over which he presided, marked an epoch of great importance. While all bitter controversial spirit may well be hushed in the presence of death, ….yet we cannot but utter a humble protest against the reckless and indiscriminate way in which many Christians and Christian journals seem to forget notwithstanding the highest personal qualities, that this man was the head of and front for the most pernicious and dangerous system of religion on earth today, the very antichrist of prophecy and the unchanged enemy of Christ and His most holy faith.”

Certainly there is no mistaking the intent of dear Brother Simpson’s words in this editorial for which I give thanks to our dear Lord for recording such a witness for later generations. Hallelujah!

    11. J.C. Ryle, in his book, “Warnings to the Churches,” (Published by The Banner of Truth Trust, page 163) states:

“Surely, when the mind of God about idolatry is so plainly revealed to us in His Word, it seems the height of infatuation in any one to join a church so steeped in idolatries as the Church of Rome. To enter into communion with her, when God is saying, ‘Come out of her, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and receive not of her plagues’ (Rev. 18:4), to seek her when the Lord is warning us to leave her — to become her subjects when the Lord’s voice is crying, ‘Escape for thy life, flee from the wrath to come;’ all this is mental blindness.”

Again on page 166, we read:

“When Rome has repealed the decrees of Trent, and her additions to the creed , — when Rome has recanted her false and unscriptural doctrines, — when Rome has formally renounced image-worship, Mary-worship, and trans-substantiation, — then, and not till then, it will be time to talk of reunion with her. Till then there is a gulf between us which cannot be honestly bridged. Till then I call on all Churchmen to resist to the death this idea of reunion with Rome. Till thenlet our watch-words be ‘No peace with Rome! No communion with idolaters!’ Well says the admirable Bishop Jewell, in his Apology, “We do not decline concord and peace with men; butwe will not continue in a state of war with God that we might have peace with men! — If the Pope does indeed desire we should be reconciled to him, he ought first to reconcile himself to God.'”

    12. John Wesley in his “Explanatory Notes Upon the New Testament,” Revelation 13:1, Proposition 5, Page 697:

“The beast is the Romish papacy. This manifestly follows from the third and fourth propositions: the beast has a strict connection with the city of Rome; and the beast is now existing. Therefore, either there is some other power more strictly connected with that city, or the Pope is the beast.”

    13. Albert Barnes in his one volume commentary on the New Testament, published by Kregel, also declares without any hesitation, that Rome is Babylon (see Revelation 13 and 17). My copy is on loan at the present time.
    14. Henry H. Halley in the famous “Halley’s Bible Handbook,” published by Zondervan, contrasts the Roman Papacy with the Beast of Revelation 13 and in Revelation 17, Page 732, he states:

“The horrors of the Inquisition, ordered and maintained by the Popes, over a period of five hundred years, in which unnumbered millions were tortured and burned, constitute the MOST BRUTAL BEASTLY AND DEVILISH PICTURE in all history. It is inconceivable that any Ecclesiastical Organization, in its mania for power, could have distorted and desecrated and corrupted, for its own exaltation, the beautiful and holy religion of Jesus, as the Papacy has done. But Facts are Facts. And, most amazing of all, it seems exactly pre-figured in Revelation. No wonder John’s vision made him sick at heart (10:10).”

    15. Matthew Henry, commenting on II Thessalonians 2:4:

“…to whom can this better apply than to the Bishops of Rome…?”

    16. Bishop Ellicott has this to say concerning Revelation 17:

“Is it then, the question must be asked, Papal Rome? The answer is: In so far as Papal Rome has wielded tyrant power, turned persecutor, stood between the spirits of men and Christ, depraved men’s consciences, withheld the truth, connived at visiousness, sought aggrandizement, and been a political machine rather than a witness for the righteous King, she has inherited the features of Babylon. The recognition of these features led Dante to apply this very passage in the Apocalypse to Rome under the rule of worldly and tyrant Popes…”

    17. William Smith, in his “Smith’s Bible Dictionary,” published by Holman, (Four Thousand Questions and Answers), page 405:

“59. What was the fourth beast like? — It was terrible and strong, and had iron teeth and ten horns.
      61. Who is the representative of that fourth or final power now? — The Pope of Rome. The popish system, as far as it has any remaining power.”

These are his comments on Daniel.

    18. Walter Criswell, pastor of the famed First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas commenting on Revelation 17:

“…the worship of mother and child spread throughout the whole world, from Babylon to Assyria, to Phoenicia, to Pergamos, and finally to Rome itself. There the Roman Emperor was elected Pontifex Maximus… and when the Roman Emperor passed away, that title of the rites and mysteries of the cult of mother and child, the Babylon mystery of idolatry, was assumed by the Bishop of Rome.”

    19. Dr. H. Ward Beecher, “The Papal Conspiracy Exposed,” pages 176-177:

“The system, as a system, is false and pernicious.”

    20. Dean Alford, “Letters From Abroad,” pages 66-67:

“Rome…is the worst city in the civilized world.”

    21. John Albert Bengel, “New Testament Word Studies,” Volume II, page 895 (Published by Kregel):

“5. The Beast is the Roman Papacy.”

    22. Wycliffe, Luther, Melanchthon, Knox, Latimer, Ridley, Cranmer, etc., also spoke of the Roman Church being Babylon and the Papacy being the Anti-christ.
    23. When I was first converted about 25 years ago, there was in the front of the King James version of the Bible, the statement that the Pope was the “man of sin.” Today, that has been removed. Just another point of the great apostasy that is taking place in regards to the true Church flirting with Rome. We should note how Paul ties in the “falling away” with “that man of sin” in II Thessalonians 2. My personal belief is that the main element of this apostasy is the true Church seeking a common fellowship with this “mother of whores” (Rome) and its “man of sin” (the Pope). As God’s Israel of the Old Testament apostasized into Babylon and her idolatry; so it seems that God’s spiritual Israel of the New Testament is doing the same thing. But God still has His faithful remnant who still are crying out, “Come out of her, My people.” (Revelation 18:4)

And last, but not least, a word from the enemy herself…

    24. The Bull Sanctum, issued by Boniface VIII, 16th November, 1302, (quoted in “The Book of Revelation,” by F.W.C. Neser, page 184) reads as follows:

“The Roman Pontiff judges all men, but is judged by no one. We declare, assert, define and pronounce: to be subject to the Roman Pontiff is to every human creature altogether necessary for salvation.

    25. Pope Nicholas said, (quoted in “Antichrist” by Ian Paisley, page 54),

I am all in all and above all, so that God Himself and I, the Vicar of God, have but one consistory, and I am able to do almost all that God can do. What therefore can you make of me but God?

But even with such a great cloud of witnesses, one might be tempted to ask the following question, “Has not Rome changed recently?” To answer this most vital question, I turn once again to the mesage of D. Martyn Lloyd Jones:

“‘Ah but,’ you say, ‘has not the Roman Catholic Church changed? You are simply looking back, you are speaking as if you lived in the 16th century– don’t you realize you are living in the 20th century?’ My answer is quite simple. The proudest boast of the Roman Catholic Church is this, that she never changes, Semper eadem. How can she change? If she changes she will be admitting that she was wrong in the past — but she was saying then that she was infallible, and that the Pope is the Vicar of Christ and that he cannot make a mistake. If she says that she is capable of change she is denying her central claim! She does not say that she is changing, and she never will. The Church of Rome remains the same. If anything, she is even worse. She has ‘added’ things to what she taught in the 16th century, such as Papal infallibility, etc. No, there is no change in the Church of Rome. And if there ever is one great world Church it will be because the Church of Rome has absorbed all the rest and swallowed them in their ignorance!”

Looking once again at this most vital question, “Has not the Church of Rome changed?” — just consider some of the trouble spots in the world today:

    1. Cuba with it’s Castro. I wonder if Castro has ever been excommunicated from the Catholic Church?
    2. Poland with its Lech Walesa. Why did Pope Paul II tell Walesa “to remain a member of the Communist system, not to flaunt his rejection of basic Communist principles” according to William F. Buckley, Jr. (N.Y. Daily News, February 3, 1981)?

No one can claim that Buckley is being prejudiced against Rome for he himself is a staunch Roman Catholic. Buckley goes on to say, “One thinks back to 1948, when the Christian Democrats and the Communists were fighting for the soul of Italy. On that occasion Pope Pius the XII issued a write of automatic excommunication from the church of any Catholic who voted for the Communists or who sided with or abetted them in their work. That interdict has never been disavowed. A canonical lawyer given to erstic advocacy could theoretically prove that by giving such advice as the present Pope gave to Walesa, the Pope excommunicated himself from the Catholic Church. Ridiculous, of course; but only that grand mosaic of paradoxes and accommodations can account for the survival of the church over the centuries.”

I would comment on this by saying that Buckley would have been a wee bit truer had he used the word, “hypocricies,” in place of the word, “paradoxes.” Nevertheless, Buckley, a staunch Roman Catholic, has unwittingly proven the Pope to be the “hypocrite of the ages.” This entire affair seems almost like a replay of the second world war. Rome has proven herself not only to be the “mother of whores,” but also the “mother of wars.” Avro Manhattan factuates this truth in his book, “Vatican in World Politics.” One more statement by Buckley in this same editorial is worthy of mention. He says, “Writing in 1954, Whittaker Chambers predicted that the future of the West’s relations with the Soviet Union would best be understood by closely examining the role of Cardinal Wyszynski in Poland.”

    3. Ireland, with its I.R.A. which is predominantly Roman Catholic. Jimmy Breslin, (New York Daily News, March 8, 1981) makes some interesting comments on how blood-thirsty Roman Catholics are: “The President and Haig the General somehow might be able to get their small war going in El Salvador, but it won’t be a real good one. This is because American Catholics, who used to erupt with joy at the notion of drawing blood, are against it…there just won’t be as many people killed as there could be with traditional Catholic participation.” No one can accuse Breslin of being prejudiced, for he also is a Roman Catholic.
    4. El Salvador, predominantly Roman Catholic. While President Reagan desires to stop this country from being taken over by the Communists, the main voice speaking out against the U.S. is Roman Catholic. Breslin states, (New York Daily News, March 8, 1981): “American Catholic bishops policy calls for the end of military aid to the El Salvador government. The Rev. Thomas Marti of the Maryknoll wrote: ‘It is evident that those of us who are deeply concerned with regard to social justice and human rights in El Salvador, as well as throughout the world, are working in an entirely different framework than President Reagan and his administration.'” In the New York Times, dated February 3, 1981, the U.S. Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador (that word, solidarity sounds familiar!) had a one page advertisement entitled, “Let the People of El Salvador Decide,” (approximate cost – $25,000). The majority of the individuals and institutions listed on this committee are Roman Catholic. Some of the more outstanding individuals listed on this committee (though some are not Roman Catholic) are: Andrew Young, former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., of whom New Hampshire Governor Thompson observed that “Young is actually representing the SOCIALIST AND MARXIST NATIONS of the ‘third world;'” Kris Kristofferson who pretended to be born again (with the help of Campus Crusade for Christ), but then went back to making obscene movies (“The Sailor Who Fell From Grace With the Sea”); Erica Jong, author of immoral books; Jane Fonda, Trouble-maker of the Viet Nam conflict; Bella Abzug; Rev. Wm. Sloan Coffin, Senior Minister at N.Y. City’s Riverside Church, the peace activist who fractured his wife’s skull with a karate chop in 1974 (see N.Y. Post, Sept. 26, 1980). Of course, this advertisement was against the U.S. intervention in El Salvador.
    5. Philippines, which is predominantly Roman Catholic. According to the New York Times, March 20, 1981, page 9, a Jesuit priest attempted to overthrow the present regime of President Marcos. According to Station WINS, in N.Y. City, (April 8, 1981), the election now taking place is running 5 to 1 in favor of President Marcos, so it is for certain that the will of this Jesuit priest was not the will of the people. The question arises, “Whose will was it that Marcos should be overthrown?” There’s only one answer. “The Vatican.”

One other question that should be on our hearts in discussing this matter is, “Why are most Roman Catholic countries Communistic?” The only answer is that Communism makes its greatest gains in Roman Catholic countries due to the abounding poverty and ignorance of the people. Note the following statement by John Gunther in his book, “Inside Europe Today,” published by Harper and Brothers, page 150:

“The extreme right wing of the Church (of Rome) deplores too active and accent on education, because (a) this may lead to apostasy, and (b) an educated elite, becoming the ruling class, might turn out to be anticlerical and a competitor of the Church.”

We should also note the words of H. G. Wells in his book, “Crux Ansata,” page 105:

“The Pope is now the head of only about fifty millions of semi-literates scattered about the planet…the Pope sets himself to hold back and frustrate the secular modernization of the world.”

      Again, H. G. Wells, on page 132:

“Like an octopus it has no creative impulse but only an instinct to survive. In Ireland, Spain, Italy, reactionary France, North and South America, Japan, and wherever it can stretch a tentacle, it seeks allies in every element that is socially base, that will help it to continue its struggle against the awakening liberalism of the ‘United Demoncracies.'”

In light of all this evidence, should we give any logical credence to what Rome has to say about the persons of Jack Chick and Alberto Rivera? God forbid!

  2. Secondly, getting back to Alberto Rivera and your accusation against him and the Chick organization, I do not believe that Jack Chick would jeopardize his well-grounded ministry without some definite leading of the Holy Spirit. Surely a luke-warm Christian would not put himself in such jeopardy. Just a small consideration of what Rome has done to those who exposed her in the past would tell me that Chick has laid his very life on the line. And what of his dear family? Has he not also jeopardized them?
  3. Thirdly, I must consider Alberto himself. Why would he also put himself and his dear family in such jeopardy? Look at the enclosed picture of this dear family. Note the precious smile on Alberto’s face. I have never met a child of darkness who had such light upon his countenance. Again, why would he ever enter upon such a venture? What could he possibly gain by such a move? No, logic moves me to conclude that he is being led by the Holy Spirit of our dear Lord. God bless his brave heart!
  4. Fourthly, I must consider Satan’s part in all this, in the light of what Jesus says in Matthew 12:25-26, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation…And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?” In the light of the much proven fact that Rome has always been a devilish system and the curse of everything it touches, I doubt very seriously that the Devil himself would author a book that at least has started people once again thinking about the great evil of Rome. The Devil may not be wise, but he is shrewd and cunning.
  5. Fifthly, I must also consider the true holy living Christians that I personally know. And though they be few, yet they are in agreement that this is of God.
  6. Sixthly, though Rome has proven herself to be the greatest fraud ever put off on mankind, I do not recall your magazine going to any great length to expose her as such, even though such a move on your part would be a most blessed benefit to all of mankind, especially the body of Christ. Again, I must ask the question, why is your magazine so anxious to expose dear Alberto? A good question, for even if I thought for a moment that his book, “Alberto,” was set forth in pretense, could not my heart rejoice (as the Apostle Paul does in Philippians 1:18) that once again this “mother of all spiritual whoredoms” is being brought again to the attention of the true sheep of God? I must say that I am very suspicious of your motive in printing this articlle. Also, I noted on the second page of your article where Roman Catholic Editor of “Our Sunday Visitor” states: “…The sad thing is that Chick’s lies are hard to refute.” It may be that they are “hard to refute” simply because they are true! Amen!
  7. And last, I must consider the fact that to my remembrance (and I read extensively) I have never read anything against J. T. Chick until he attacked Rome. The Devil’s mad and I’m so glad! Hallelujah!

I could go on, but I’m afraid I may have labored you too much already, so I will stop. I do pray that this letter will be received in the spirit in which it is written; and God willing, may the truth set forth in it reach the hearts of many dear souls, lest they end up with the mark of the Beast. May God also encourage your heart to search this matter out diligently, lest you be found to be fighting against the very Spirit of Truth, Himself, even our dear Lord. I do believe if you and I could go to visit with Alberto Rivera, we would walk away fully convinced that he is true. I think you should consider the trip.

Written by one who loves Jesus and hates the devout enemies of Jesus with that perfect hatred that David speaks of in Psalm 139:21-22, I remain,

Someone who is praying for you,

P.S. I failed to thank you for the free advertising you have given to Chick’s “Alberto.” “For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth” (II Corinthians 13:8). Hallelujah! Martin Luther said: “Cursed be that love and unity for whose sake the Word of God must be put to stake,” and I say 10,000 “Amens!”     JMH

The Power of the Pope in Cuba, Porto Rico and the Philippine Islands

Chapter VII from: “Thirty Years In Hell – Or, From Darkness to Light”

By: Bernard Fresenborg

vatican2

It makes my heart sick when I realize that the Government of the United States has spent hundreds of millions of dollars upon the Islands of Cuba, Porto Rico and the Philippine Islands, and, after all, these Islands are still in the grasp and the filthy embrace of the Vatican at Rome.

Not only fabulous amounts of money have been spent by the United States upon these Islands, but hundreds of our noble boys in blue have given up their lives in battle and by the scourge of disease, and still Catholicism has absolute sway in these far-away countries. These islands have been under the immediate control of Popery for hundreds of years, but when the Government of the United States took charge of them, their inhabitants had advanced no further in intellectuality and the freedom of free men than they were centuries ago.

It may sound strange to the average reader when I declare that all of the lives lost and all of the money expended by the United States upon Cuba, Porto Rico and the Philippine Islands was brought about by the tyrannical rule of Rome, for it was by her abominations that Cuba rebelled, which was the prime cause of the interference by the government of the United States; therefore you can readily see why it is that I claim that Catholicism is to blame for the part that the government of the United States took in the affairs of these countries, and what puzzles me so much is why the government of the United States still permits Catholicism to control the destinies of these countries, when the officials of this government know full well that had it not been for abhorrent Catholicism that Cuba would never have rebelled and that Porto Rico would have been satisfied, and that the Philippine Islands would not to-day belong to the United States; but, instead of this government trying to remedy the great wrong done to the inhabitants of these countries, it went right ahead and allowed the bone of contention to remain, and to-day finds this government not only permitting Catholicism to continue to practice her abominations in these countries, but this government is instrumental in sending Catholic teachers over to these countries, when, if this country would do its whole duty, it would not permit Catholicism to take any part in the affairs of these countries.

Archbishop Chapelle was shipped to the Philippine Islands with all the pomp of a ruler, and so was Archbishop J.J. Harty, whom I am personally acquainted with, and whom I have been on intimate terms with for a number of years, and this man Harty is to-day in the Philippine Islands ruling with the same tyrannical hand that has characterized Romanism for centuries past, and whose rule is only symbolic to ruin, as the interests of the inhabitants of these countries are never considered, as it is Rome’s ambition and only desire to keep them under the heel of perpetual tyranny.

We would like to know why Archbishop Chapelle should be given the best stateroom in a transport ship sailing for Manila, while our pure-blooded, honest, sincere Protestant boys who wear the blue were huddled together like so many cattle.

Ah, this is the reason: Archbishop Chapelle is an emissary of the Pope of Rome and stands ready at all times to serve the wishes and obey the orders of that Italian pontiff, and our officials were aware of this fact and they did not want to stir up the Catholic officials for fear of losing a few votes, as both of our old parties have sunk so low into the quagmire of filth that they would allow their country to sink to the level of Romish abominations if they thought by so doing they could control the Catholic vote for either party.

Was one of your boys on this transport ship? Was your kith and kin aboard this vessel that showed this ungodly discrimination between the soldier boy who wrung a poor mother’s heart by leaving the parental fireside? If such was the case, you can vividly see the injustice done to these brave lads in favor of this Archbishop Chapelle, as these boys were on their way to this terrible land of disease and death to help plant the emblem of liberty upon the ramparts of these far-away Islands, and this same Archbishop Chapelle was on his way to destroy the influence of these boys’ mission. The time is not far distant until the Protestant world will wake up to the realization that they have been humbled before this Italian pontiff for the simple reason that our officials are willing to cater to Catholicism in Cuba, Porto Rico and the Philippine Islands for the sake of votes.

We do not care whether you are a Republican or a Democrat, this chapter should fire your blood to the fullest extent, for I am telling you truths, and if you have got the common decency of the most ignorant liberty-loving American you will right now make a resolve that Protestant America must redeem her pledge to Cuba, Porto Rico and the Philippine Islands to liberate them not only from the hardships placed upon them by a foreign nation, but liberate them from the bonds of Catholicism, which not only binds the body, but chains the soul with the fetters of ignorance and superstition.

When it became known that the government of the United States was to interfere in the affairs of Cuba, the Catholic Church put all of her machinery to work immediately in order to fool Uncle Sam and cajole him into dealing only with the government of Spain, which would permit Catholicism to exist in these Islands, and the pages of history only tell us too well how successfully she laid her plans, as to-day we have the awful spectacle of beholding the government of the United States playing the part of “protector,” while she is quietly aiding the identical institution which caused the misery in these far-away countries.

What I tell you in this chapter is true, as I was a Catholic priest and was on the inside of the workings of Catholicism at that time, and what I relate is not guess work nor imagination, but it is plain, unvarnished and unadulterated truths, and the American people will sooner or later wake up to the realization of these awful truths, for just so long as the United States permits Catholicism to control the destinies of Cuba, Porto Rico and the Philippine Islands, just that long turmoil and misery will remain in these tropical regions, for Catholicism has sworn by all of her imaginary saints that Protestantism shall never rule these countries, and so far she has carried out her threat truly and well, as Protestantism to-day has no more control over the inhabitants of these islands than she did before the damnable creed of the Pope was molested by the appearance of Dewey’s guns at Manila.

Can you expect these countries to grow in greatness, and can you expect the inhabitants of these countries to become giants in intellect when they practice the cungerings of Catholicism?

We want to give the reader an insight in this chapter to what Catholicism practices in this country and in other countries that are not near so densely ignorant as Cuba, Porto Rico and the Philippine Islands, and then you can have an idea of what the inhabitants of these countries may expect in the way of advancement from Catholicism, and what I will repeat is the abominations that I have helped to practice myself for thirty years; therefore I know whereof I speak and no man dare dispute.

We will take a Catholic cemetery, for instance, and in order that the ground may be sanctified and fit to receive the dead bodies of those who believe in the Catholic faith a bishop must sanctify this earth and consecrate it before it is fit to conceal the body of one of the Pope’s followers.

Our Savior has declared that “From earth we came, and to earth we shall return,” and there was no proviso made that before we should return to earth that it would have to be consecrated by a human being, as any man or woman of intelligence knows full well that what the Lord our God has made cannot be improved upon by the idiotic chant and superstitious rant of a Catholic bishop.

It matters not how godly nor how piously a Protestant may have lived, Catholicism teaches that it is an abomination to bury a Protestant in a Catholic cemetery, and one of her laws is that to bury a heretic (which means Protestant) in a Catholic cemetery is unlawful, and the Catholic Popes instruct that the remains of any Protestant buried in a Catholic cemetery shall, if they can be distinguished, be removed, and if they can not be distinguished, that the cemetery shall be cleansed by sprinkling holy water over the ground, and bear in mind that this holy water is to receive its cleansing power from some priest or bishop, who perhaps is as immoral as hell.

In Canada, some time since, the laws of that country forcibly effected the burial of a Protestant in a Catholic cemetery, and the bishop of that diocese, by the name of Bourget, declared that portion of the cemetery as “_desecrated and filthy_” and forbade any priest to step his foot upon the ground.

Now, do you expect an institution which teaches such doctrines to elevate a nation above their own doctrine? If you do, you are expecting something unreasonable, and if the inhabitants of Cuba, Porto Rico and the Philippine Islands are not to be elevated above such abominations can the future hold anything for them but misery? There is but one thing that beats a bishop’s consecration of a graveyard, and that is money, and money only; but a few dollars will turn the trick and will open up the ground in a Catholic cemetery for a heretic, and enough money will turn the entire cemetery into a Protestant graveyard.

In the City of St. Louis there is a Catholic cemetery called “Calvary,” and lots twelve feet square are sold at from $50 to $1,000 each. A lot was bought by a Protestant whose son died and who was baptized in his last hour by a Catholic nurse. While his people were Protestants, they consented, since he had been baptized into the Catholic Church, that they would give him a Catholic burial, and a priest by the name of Ward performed the ceremony. Now, bear in mind that the father of this young man had bought a lot large enough for his whole family to be buried there, when they should die, as he, of course, wanted his entire family to be buried together, but the Catholic Church would not consent to consecrate any part of that lot but the grave in which the young man was buried that was baptized on his death bed, simply because the remainder of the family were Protestants; but for money they consecrated a portion of this lot, four feet wide and six and one-half feet long, but the remainder of this lot was not consecrated, therefore you will see that money in the Catholic Church has as much power to consecrate the earth as doth the bishopric and priestcraft.

Ah, what abominations! but still this Government expects Cuba, Porto Rico and the Philippine Islands to be elevated to the standard of manhood and womanhood by this class of ghouls. Now, if we could halt with the recital of only a few abominations, my task, perhaps, would not be so disgusting, but had I the endurance to live on, until I were a thousand years old, and could write what I know and have experienced in the ranks of Catholicism, I would be unable to portray to the reader all of her abominations.

The Catholic Church is a church of show and glamor, and of nonsensical doctrines, and not a church of God and of holy worship. Many believe that Catholicism has taught all of her cungerings for centuries past, and this is the case, but bear in mind, that Catholicism often has to have new “fakes,” in order to make the money slide out of the pockets of their “dupes” more easily, so they get up new intrigues and modern shows for this purpose, and the fake that works the best is the one that they work the hardest, as I solemnly declare that the Catholic Church as a whole is a money proposition upon the part of those who teach her abominations, and I further declare that it is a “graft” conceived by minds that are more cunning and deceptive than any class of men upon the face of the whole earth.

The Catholic Church changes its form of worship like cheap chop houses change their bills of fare, as they are after “suckers,” and if one bait will not get them, they throw out another, and the pomp and show of the church is to catch the eye and not to save the soul. Not long since, the Catholic Church, with singular devotion, turned its attention to the five wounds of Christ, and immediately after giving these five wounds their solicitous attention, they bade their followers to have recourse to the sacred heart of Jesus, and in hundreds of Catholic Churches you will find to-day a statue made in the likeness of Christ, with a heart attached over the breast, and this heart is illuminated by electricity or candle, and the followers of Catholicism absolutely worship this mechanism of man, and it has proven a great drawing card, and you can rest assured that Catholicism is pushing the scheme along good and hard, and “The St. Anthony Bread Box” hoax is another scheme that is not very old, but which the Catholic Church has found to be another great paying investment, and they are working “St. Anthony” for all that he is worth.

Now, can any man or woman of intelligence believe that the inhabitants of these islands can ever expect to become men and women of affairs–men and women of individuality–and men and women of intellectuality? If you can give a rational reason why these countries should ever expect to be elevated to the standard of greatness under such influences and under the tutelage of such an institution, then the road to greatness must be a very easy one to travel.

The Catholic Church is conducted on about the same principle as Dun’s and Bradstreet’s mercantile agencies, as they go into the minutest detail to keep record of the affairs of the country, so that they may know the weakest as well as the strongest points of their creed, so that they may at all times be prepared to exercise the greatest influence at the proper time, and what makes this creed so dangerous, is that they impress upon their dupes that the church is “eternal law,” and they hold out the crown of glory on high as a reward for following their doctrine, and this is the most dangerous and damnable scheme ever perpetrated by mortal, for when you force a man or woman to believe that you hold in your hands their future destiny, you have them to the point where you can force them to do your bidding, and this is exactly what Catholicism does to her followers, and this is the reason why Cuba, Porto Rico and the Philippine Islands can never expect to go higher in the scale of morality and intellectuality than they are at the present time, if the Government of the United States permits this troop of ghouls to continue to be their masters.

We believe that we have in this chapter made, it plain to the reader why the influence of Catholicism should be remotely removed from these islands, and if I am right, the Government of the United States is everlastingly wrong in permitting Catholicism to retain her hold upon the throats of the inhabitants of these islands, and I undoubtedly am right, as I know whereof I speak, as I have trod the deceptive road of Catholicism for the past thirty years, and I dare not tell in this book all that I know of her cunning in regard to these far-away countries, as I would have to use language so plain that I could not expect this volume to pass through the mails, as the priestcraft in Cuba, Porto Rico and the Philippine Islands are an immoral set, as a whole, and treat the female population of these islands in a manner that breeds immorality from generation to generation, and the awful part of this immorality is that those who commit it with the priestcraft do not consider that it is a wrong, as they have been taught that it is no sin to do as the priestcraft demands, therefore it is ten thousand times worse than if the sin was committed with the knowledge of the fact that it was a sin, as the mother or father who is aware of the fact that they are sinners will not teach their offspring to commit the sins that they are guilty of, but when they are not aware of the fact that they are committing a sin, of course, they allow their children to believe that their actions are in harmony with the teachings of God, therefore this damnable practice goes on and on, from generation to generation, and this is why the morals, intelligence and progress of Cuba, Porto Rico and the Philippine Islands, are to-day on the same plane of depravity as they were centuries ago, and no one is to blame for this carnality and debauchery of the inhabitants of these islands but the Roman Catholic Church, and until the Government of the United States shall declare and back up her declaration by Protestant manhood, the inhabitants of these islands will never know of the beauties of chastity and morality and the wonderful blessings that are held in store for them by embracing Protestantism.

May the Lord of Hosts hasten the day when the eyes of those who rule in Protestant America may be opened to the awful sins they are committing, by allowing Romanism to hover over these islands with her vulturous and carnivorous appetite of depravity, and may the time soon come when the Government of the United States shall proclaim to the Vatican at Rome that this veil of abomination shall be lifted from the inhabitants of these islands; and when this is done, the goddess of liberty that has made Protestant America what she is to-day, will hover over these far-away islands of the sea, and new life will pulsate in the veins of these Romish-ridden countries.

MANNY PACQUIAO: The Gloves Are Off!

On December 4, 2014 The Philippine Star national newspaper reported that Filipino hero, WBO champion, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao did some impromptu lunchtime preaching at the Court of Appeals, recently (see image). Hard to believe? Read on…

What’s gotten into Pacman? Why, despite a traditional Catholic upbringing, has he recently turned his back on Catholicism? Yes, the gloves are off. It’s time to face the truth…

Clearly, Pacman has seen the light. Let’s get down to basics. Pacman hits the nail on the head when he says, “I always read the Bible”. This alone is the true word of God, which we should obey. Therefore, it’s time to:

  1. Stop worshipping pictures and statues of Jesus. The birth of God’s Son, Jesus is an important, wonderful event, but it’s time to stop obsessing about the cute little baby Jesus, the “Santo Nino”. It’s a biological trick; all babies are cute. It’s ridiculous to focus exclusively on the infant Jesus, because His great deeds and teaching came after He was baptized as an adult, when he was about 30. Wake up! It’s time to stop focusing on what He may have looked like, and focus on what He teaches us. The worship of pictures, statues and idols and crucifixes is against the Ten Commandments.
  2. Stop putting Mary above Jesus. Sure, Mary was an honored woman to be chosen by God to give birth to His Son. But she was a mortal. Wake up! She is dead. It is absurd to give her more importance than the living, risen Son of God. Jesus lived and died to cleanse and abolish our sins. He conquered death, and lives forever. He is the Savior. He is the living Lord God, to whom we should pray whenever we can.
  3. Stop praying to or for the dead. It is strongly forbidden in the Bible. Those who have died in sin are destined for the fires of Hell. Those who died and truly believe are destined for Heaven with Jesus. Wake up! To pray for them is to imply that Jesus cannot take care of them, which is very insulting, and an abomination to Him. Praying to the dead is very ungodly, and has its roots in witchcraft and the occult.
  4. Stop believing that a man known as a “Pope”, selected by a very, very rich consular state in a distant country in Europe, has the right to act as the personification or “vicar” of Christ on Earth. Hello! Wake up! The risen Jesus is alive! He does not need a human imitator. To imply otherwise is to belittle Jesus Christ, which is a serious blasphemy.
  5. Stop believing that a priest in a confession box can forgive sins. The Bible is quite clear; Jesus is the only one who forgives sins when you confess to Him privately, in prayer. To suggest that a man can forgive sins on behalf of Jesus is blasphemy.
  6. Purgatory: Stop believing that a priest can help your loved ones to reach Heaven after they have died. Wake up! There is no such place as “purgatory”. If there were, it would be mentioned in the Bible. It is very evil for the Roman Catholic institution to accept money in exchange for these false “prayers”. No wonder the Vatican is so rich! A place in Heaven is given by grace through faith ONLY, during a person’s life, not after death. It’s too late then!
  7. Ignore RCI priests’ advice not to read the Bible, claiming that it will “confuse you”. Wake up! They don’t want you to read the Bible, in case you discover the truth!

If you are a Catholic… Hello! Can you not see for yourself that from birth you have been indoctrinated with a whole pack of lies? Have you ever wondered why there is such a strong correlation between Catholicism and countries where corruption and crime is more-or-less the norm? Look at most of South America, for a start… violence, drugs, prostitution.

Let’s allow Pacman to have the last word: “I drank, I womanized, I was gambling. I was not ashamed. That was my life before. I was not a godly person”. He explains how his life changed after converting from Catholicism to evangelical Christianity.

 “I always read the Bible”

Manny Pacquiao repents from his Catholic days, and speaks of the requirements to enter Heaven and have everlasting life, and how there is only one requirement: “Everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have everlasting life” John 6, v. 40

So, what you need TO DO is to believe in Jesus, in the way that the Scriptures say.

You need to turn away from your sin and obey the Word of God. To know the real Living Jesus is to know the Truth which is the Word of God. The first obedience is to get baptized in water to realize your new true Faith. Contact a “bible-true” church, such as us, and we will help you in your decision to start walking the Narrow Path to the Narrow Gate of Heaven.

Bible references from New Living Translation (NLT):

Points 1 & 2
Exodus 20:1 Then God gave the people all these instructions: 2 “I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery. 3 “You must not have any other god but me. 4 “You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea.  5 You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me. 6 But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands.

Point 3
Deuteronomy 18:10-13
10 For example, never sacrifice your son or daughter as a burnt offering. And do not let your people practice fortune-telling, or use sorcery, or interpret omens, or engage in witchcraft, 11 or cast spells, or function as mediums or psychics, or call forth the spirits of the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord. It is because the other nations have done these detestable things that the Lord your God will drive them out ahead of you. 13 But you must be blameless before the Lord your God.

Point 4
John 15:26 “But I will send you the Advocate[a]—the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.

Point 5
1 John 1:9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

manypreach1_web

Manny has actually followed the commandment of Jesus and especially when it comes to this:

Revelation 18:4 Then I heard another voice calling from heaven, “Come away from her, my people. Do not take part in her sins, or you will be punished with her”.

If you are in any doubt of who is “her”, read Revelation 17, and Jesus will open your eyes; it is the Roman Catholic Institution.

The Word of God does not say:

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be A GOOD CATHOLIC, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

no, no, no – JESUS SAY:

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:3

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
John 3:5

God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.
John 4:24
