1 Peter 1 New Living Translation (NLT) (used in all) (italic underline and bold added by me)
17 And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favourites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time here as “temporary residents.”

So we have to live our lives in the fear of the Lord ALL the time. It is very clear 100 + places in the Scripture.

Acts 9
31 The church then had peace throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria, and it became stronger as the believers lived in the fear of the Lord. And with the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, it also grew in numbers.

We shall live in fear of hurting Him, in fear of grieving the Holy Spirit. In fear of make Jesus want to spit you out of His mouth. We live in fear of the Lord so we can harvest people for Eternal life. So the Church can be multiplied.

Revelation 3:16
But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!

There is more than John 3:16 as you can see. And we will also remind us concerning

John 3:36 And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.”

But we shall not fear for judgement, we shall fear of the possibility to avoiding obeying Him, the fear to don’t keep His commandment and end up not loving Him. Jesus says seven times in John 14 and 15; those who love me keep my commandments.

Jesus says:
Psalm 34:11 Come, my children, and listen to me, and I will teach you to fear the Lord.

How can we be able to get to this point that we come onto Jesus and learn to fear Him?

We have to repent and believe in the Gospel as the Scripture tells us to do. Set Jesus and your neighbour first in ALL things. No other desires than to please Him. It is very simple, but oh so difficult with a haughty heart.
